WFH (work from home) at Sentral as parents was scheduled to arrive at 5 PM. Flight was delayed and they arrived at 7 PM. We had steam fish (the fish was flown in from KK), chicken soup and vegetable for dinner. The double boiled chicken by Chef Abikia was really tender and the soup was delicious.

Drove over to Subang Parade for Abikia to pick me up for outing to Seri Setia’s pasar malam. We had street food for dinner. Then we headed over to I-City to see the digital lights. Quite impressive.

After having breakfast at Sentral at 9 AM, we headed out to Seremban at 9.30 AM. It was drizzling when we arrive at the train station. We were following the recommendations from a Malaysian Traveller website on places to visit in Seremban. The train station itself was not so impressive. The façade was, but you had to be a distance from it to capture a shot of the building.

Then we headed over to Lake Garden to see the lotus pond. Seems that there are only 2 small patches of lotus left.

We had early lunch at a coffee shop consisting of porridge and yong tau foo. It was an inexpensive lunch. Then walked over to another restaurant to try out the famous beef noodle. After a short stop at an Indian temple, we headed back. 

Back at Sentral, we had a light snack at 3 PM, eating the pastries (curry puff, siew bao) that we had just bought.

Dinner at Sentral consisted of fish soup, chicken soup and vegetables. We chatted about current news – Brexit, SST, investments until about 10 PM while having ice-cream for dessert.

Dinner at Sentral consisting of beef soup, vegetables and siew mai. After dinner, we watched a few short YouTube video on Princess Eugenie’s 12 Oct wedding. For me, the star of the event was the children who were page boys and bridesmaids. As expected, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were super cute.

I was at Sentral Condo by 11.30 AM, then we went to pick up Beh Ling at Federal Hotel and had lunch at Nexus HOF consisting of bah kut teh and fried mee hoon with roasted pork. 

Then we went back to Sentral for tea and snacks as well as trying out the massage chair. After dropping Beh Ling off at KL Sentral for her flight back to SG, we headed over to Klang, for second round of bah kut teh.

Was at Sentral Condo by 9 AM as we had planned to go for early dim sum breakfast at Kuchai Lama. After picking up Kiew Che from Bangsar, we waited in the long queue for the popular dim sum breakfast. 

Then we went for a short visit at Kiew Che’s Bangsar house, where we went upstairs to have a look at the small partitioned room which Beh Ling used to stay at while studying at HELP College.

After the Bangsar visit, we went back to Sentral condo and watched YouTube on the Royal Family and Queen Victoria before having lunch at 1 PM. Then Abikia sent parents to the airport while I headed to the office to clear some work.

Vienna Family Photos

We were on time for the photo shoot at 5 PM at Foto Weinwurm (Burggasse 56, 1070 Wien). Costing 278 Euro for 5 photos and 78 Euro for 2 extra photos, it  wasn’t cheap but the pictures turned out to be really nice. 

It was Beh Ling's idea to have the family photo taken in a studio, with the Chinese dress theme, and Abikia's expertise in Google search to find a place that's not too far away. The result was worth it !

CNY 2018

Arrived at the airport at 7.45 PM and went to the book store to browse the gossip magazines before heading to departure gate and looked for Abikia as we were on the same flight back. For the in-flight entertainment, decided to watch ‘Mr. Pride vs Ms. Prejudice’ Chinese movie which was very entertaining with two very good-looking main leads.

Finally arrived past 12 midnight due to flight delay. After shower, watched a bit of TV while waiting for hair to dry completely.

Woke up late in the morning as we slept really late the night before.

Went for haircut, while BL and ABK sent the two cars for car wash.

Went to the bank in the afternoon and then headed to the gym for some exercise with BL while ABK took a walk around town. After our shower, we headed home for reunion dinner.

Movie of the night was Ola Bola. Worth watching with a great ending showcasing patriotic fervor, which would have been suitable for Merdeka Day. The two songs in the movie were great too – ‘Arena Cahaya’ and ‘We will Believe Again’.

We were at Tanjung Aru Beach resort for our CNY photoshoot. It was a good choice as they had nice CNY décor, suitable for photoshoot. 

In the afternoon, went to the Club gym for some exercise with BL while ABK took a walk around town. After our shower, we headed home, change our clothes and went to East Meet West for dinner with aunty Su Lee. 

After dropping Dad off as he was not interested in our next activity, we went to Waterfront to visit the sports shop. BL bought shoes for 3 of us (mine is red, mummy got dark blue, BL is purple) while ABK got a dark grey pair. We’ll be using it for the Vienna trip. After that, it was drinks at Fook Yuen in town, before we sent aunty Su Lee home.

We watched Dangal which lasted until 2 AM. The movie was really good, with a great story line featuring a dedicated father, pulling at emotional heartstring and ending with a dramatic finale.

We were watching the Olympic men’s figure skating event before lunch. 

BL had 12.30 lunch appointment with her schoolmates, at Judy's place. We finally managed to find Judy’s house after some time. Then ABK and I went to pick her up at Tropicana condo at around 3.45 PM.

We went to the gym as it started raining at 5 PM. After dinner, we chat-chat until Skype session with Austin family at 9.30 PM which lasted 1.25 hours.

We went for 7.30 AM church service, followed by breakfast at home (siu mai and pau) before heading out to Suria for shopping. After buying a few household items, we headed home for lunch.

After dinner, we went to Waterfront to do last round of shopping. Although the sports shop was closing, they did not chase us out. Bought an orange Adidas shirt while BL bought a pink shirt. Then we had thosai at Indian shop near Diamond restaurant, as BL still has her thosai craving (since Christmas). After that we watched TV (parts of Project Runway, AFC show on Swedish food) before going to sleep.
